About Organization
Western Railway in its present from came in to existence on 5th November, 1951 by the merger of its forerunner, the erstwhile Bombay, Baroda and Central India Railway (BB&CI), with other State Railways viz, Saurashtra Rajputana and Jaipur.
Qualification
The applicants should have already passed the prescribed qualification on the date of issue of this notification ie. 26/05/2022 as under-
Educational Qualification
Matriculate or 10th class in 10+2 examination system with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from recognized board.
Technical Qualification
ITI certificate affiliated to NCVT SCVT is compulsory in reverent trade as under-

Candidates Age
The applicants should have completed 15 years of age and should have not completed 24 years of age as on 27/06/2022.
SC/ST/OBC- Upper age limit relaxable of by 05 years in case of SC /ST applicants and 3 years in case of OBC Applicants.
Persons with Disability (PWD)- Upper age limit is relaxed by 10 years.
Ex-serviceman- Upper age limit is relaxed up to additional 10 years.
Application Fee
Application fees (Non-refundable)- Rs.100/-
No fees is required to be paid by SC/ST/PWD/Women Applicants.
Selection Process
Selection of the eligible Applicants for imparting training under the Apprentice Act, 1961 will be based on the Merit List which would be prepared taking the average of the percentage of marks obtained by the Applicants in both Matriculation [with minimum 50%(aggregate) marks] and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both.
In case of two Applicants having the same marks the Applicants having order age shall be preferred. In case the dates of birth are also same, then the Applicants who passed matriculation exam earlier shall be considered first. There will be no written test or viva.
The Tentative Schedule will be uploaded on our Website www.rrc-wr.com. Applicants are advised to be in readiness at short notice to report to the allotted Divisions & Workshops for Document/Certificate Verification.
Training Duration
The selected Applicants are required to undergo apprenticeship training for a period of 01 Year.
Stipend/Salary
Selected candidates engaged as Apprentices will undergo Apprenticeship training for a period of one year and will be paid a Stipend during the training at the prescribed rate as per extant rules governed by the concerned State Governments.

Applicants are required to fill up the personal details/ Trade/ Aadhar number/ Marks /CGPA/ preference for Divisions/ Workshops etc. very carefully as the computerized Merit list will be prepared only on the basis of the information filled by the Applicants in the ONLINE application. In case of any discrepancy observed at the time of Document Verification, the Applicants will be disqualified summarily.

Important Notes
- The decision of the Railway administration in all matters relating to eligibility, accepted or rejection of the applications, mode of selection and allotment of Division/Workshop etc. shall be final.
- No correspondences for engagement will be entrained.
- Before applying, the Applicants should ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility and other criteria. If erroneously engaged, such Applicants shall be TERMINATED without notice at any stage.
