🚆 ICF Apprentice Recruitment 2026-27

Integral Coach Factory (ICF), Chennai, Ministry of Railways, Government of India, has released Notification No. APP/01/2026-2027 (No. PB/RR/39/App/2026) for engagement of Act Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961.

A total of 1,010 Apprentice training slots are available for the 2026-27 session. The recruitment includes Freshers, Ex-ITI candidates, MLT and PASAA categories. The major ITI trades include Fitter, Electrician, Welder, Carpenter, Machinist and Painter.

For ITI candidates, 670 Ex-ITI vacancies are available in the six major trades, while 10 additional PASAA seats are available for eligible ITI certificate holders.

Important: This is an Apprenticeship Training opportunity, not a direct Railway job. Completion of apprenticeship does not guarantee employment in ICF or Indian Railways.

🎓 ICF ITI Eligibility 2026

Ex-ITI Candidates

Fitter, Electrician & Machinist

Candidates should have:

10th/Std X pass
Minimum 50% aggregate marks
10th में Science & Mathematics
Qualification 10+2 system या equivalent के अंतर्गत होनी चाहिए।
Relevant trade में National Trade Certificate (NTC) होना चाहिए।
NTC NCVT या SCVT द्वारा issued होना चाहिए।
ITI/NTC course की अवधि one year or above prescribed है।

Carpenter, Painter & Welder

इन trades के Ex-ITI candidates के लिए:

10th pass
Minimum 50% aggregate marks
10+2 system या equivalent
Relevant trade में NCVT/SCVT National Trade Certificate
NTC course one year or above

💻 PASAA Qualification

PASAA Ex-ITI candidates के लिए:

10th pass
Minimum 50% marks
Relevant National Trade Certificate होना चाहिए।

Accepted qualification में Information Technology, Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA), Database System Assistant या Software Testing Assistant जैसी prescribed trades शामिल हैं।

Official notification के अनुसार minimum stipend:

Important Stipend Rule

Second year of apprenticeship training में prescribed minimum stipend में 10% increase होगा।

Ex-ITI candidates के लिए पहले से की गई relevant apprenticeship training अवधि, applicable rules के अनुसार stipend determination में consider की जा सकती है।

🏆 Selection Process

ICF Apprentice Recruitment 2026 में written examination नहीं है।

Selection के लिए merit list Std X के marks के आधार पर तैयार की जाएगी।

Selection Process

10th Marks → Merit List → Document Verification → Medical Examination → Apprenticeship Training

अगर दो candidates के marks समान हैं:

Older candidate को preference दी जाएगी।
अगर Date of Birth भी same है, तो जिसने Std X examination पहले पास किया है, उसे preference मिलेगी।

Ex-ITI Candidates के लिए Important

Ex-ITI candidates को उसी trade में training दी जाएगी जिस trade का ITI certificate उनके पास है।

Freshers candidates merit और available vacancies के आधार पर trade option के अनुसार allotted trade प्राप्त करेंगे।

🏠 Tamil Nadu Candidates को Preference

ICF ने notification में Tamil Nadu candidates को preference देने की बात कही है।

इस recruitment में Tamil Nadu से संबंधित prescribed residence/employment-exchange condition लागू है, जबकि eligible Railway employees' wards के लिए applicable exemption दी गई है। इसलिए दूसरे राज्यों के candidates को application से पहले notification की residence/registration conditions ध्यान से check करनी चाहिए।

❌ कौन Apply नहीं कर सकता?

Official notification के अनुसार:

Degree holders regular notified trades के लिए eligible नहीं हैं।
Diploma holders eligible नहीं हैं।
Engineering Degree holders eligible नहीं हैं।
पहले Course Completed Act Apprenticeship कर चुके candidates eligible नहीं हैं।
यह notification employment के लिए नहीं, apprenticeship training के लिए है।
MLT के लिए qualification exception है क्योंकि वहां 12th qualification prescribed है।

Application केवल online mode में स्वीकार की जाएगी। Candidates को application form या documents post/email/by hand से ICF को भेजने की आवश्यकता नहीं है।

🏥 Medical Fitness

Selected candidates को Apprentices Act और applicable Apprenticeship Rules के अनुसार physically fit होना चाहिए।

Document Verification के समय prescribed format में Government-authorized doctor द्वारा signed Medical Certificate प्रस्तुत करना होगा।

⚠️ Important Instructions

यह Railway Apprentice Training है, direct permanent Railway recruitment नहीं।
Apprenticeship complete करने के बाद ICF/Railways में employment guaranteed नहीं है।
Selected candidates को apprenticeship contract execute करना होगा।
Training के दौरान accommodation/food ICF administration द्वारा provide नहीं किया जाएगा।
Candidates को accommodation अपने खर्च पर arrange करनी होगी।
गलत declaration या false information मिलने पर candidature/training terminate की जा सकती है।
Canvassing करने पर candidature disqualify हो सकती है।
Candidates को application में दिया गया mobile number और email selection पूरा होने तक active रखना चाहिए।
